✍️ Reflection: What sensations do I feel after activating my breath?
Welcome to Day 11 of "The Challenge"!
🌿 "Even the darkest night gives way to the dawn. I rise with unwavering strength, embracing my path with trust and clarity." ✨ |
💜 🔥This affirmation reinforces resilience, surrender, and unwavering commitment to your Sankalpa (sacred intention), especially in challenging times.
Let it be your anchor. 💜🔥
During my enjoyable practice this morning (by the way, checking in: have you done your mantra today for stability?), a topic came up: Tantra! Do you know what it really means?
🌀 Tantra Poll
What does Tantra mean to you?
A path to spiritual awakening
A form of energy expansion
A mysterious ancient practice
No idea, but I want to learn!
TANTRA? Is it a sexual thing?
Tantra comes from two Sanskrit words:
🔹 Tanoti (Expansion) and Rayati (Liberation) = Liberation of energy and development of consciousness.
In sacred Hindu scripture, Tantras are considered Methods of Sadhana (Spiritual Disciplines). A key feature of these traditions is the use of Mantras, which is why Tantra is often referred to as Mantramarga (Path of Mantra).
💡 Tantra Philosophy teaches that the universe is a manifestation of pure consciousness, divided into two parts that cannot exist without one another:
Shiva (static, pure consciousness) → represented by male energy (Purusha)
Shakti (dynamic, creative nature) → represented by female energy (Prakriti)
Through Kundalini awakening, these two forces ultimately unite at the Sahasrara Chakra.
Tantric disciplines must be undertaken under the guidance of a realized Master (Guru), as self-practice may lead to misinterpretation or imbalance in comprehension.
I've always heart about Tantra as a way similar to Kamasutra... Is there different type of Tantra?
Tantra Paths
Tantra has two main paths:
1️⃣ Kaula (Left-Hand Path) – Focuses on external rituals, including meat, fish, intoxication, mudras, and sexual contact.
2️⃣ Sri Vidya (Right-Hand Path) – Focuses on internal processes (Inner Tantra), rooted in yogic practices with no external rituals or sexual practices. This path, often misunderstood in the West, leads to liberation from ignorance and duality through the wisdom of Shiva-Shakti (Kundalini Awakening).

Let’s Get Back to Nutrition!
I want to introduce you to one of my favorite Indian dishes—in particular, from Punjab! Have you ever seen those majestic men wearing turbans? The turban, along with many other rituals, is characteristic of Punjabis, who live in Northern India. Their cuisine is similar to Western flavors, using rich spices to transform simple legumes into magic!
So I'd like to present to you.... 🥁✨🥁✨🥁✨🥁✨🥁✨🥁✨🥁✨
Dal Makhani – A Punjabi Classic
🖤 Black dal, particularly Dal Makhani, has a fascinating history rooted in Punjabi cuisine. It was popularized by Kundan Lal Gujral, the founder of the famous Moti Mahal restaurant in Delhi.
It is a:
Ancient Legume: Black gram (urad dal) has been cultivated in India for over 4,000 years, making it one of the oldest legumes known to humanity.
Protein Powerhouse: High in protein, fiber, and essential minerals, it's a staple in vegetarian diets.
Eco-Friendly Crop: Urad dal is drought-resistant and helps fix nitrogen in the soil, making it a sustainable agricultural choice.
Traditional Cooking Method: In Punjab, black dal is often slow-cooked overnight for deep, earthy flavors. (That's what we are going to do today!)
💡 First step—get a slow cooker if you don’t have one yet! After this recipe, you’ll keep using it forever!

🔥 Ayurveda Element: Kapalabhati breath (for energy boost!)
🌿 Kapalabhati – The Ayurvedic Energy Booster
🔥 How Kapalabhati Works:
It involves forceful exhalations through the nose while keeping the inhalations passive.
The rapid diaphragmatic movement stimulates the solar plexus, boosting prana (life force).
It clears toxins from the lungs and oxygenates the brain, leading to heightened awareness.
🌿 Kapalabhati, known as the "Shining Skull Breath," is an ancient Ayurvedic technique used to clear the mind, awaken prana (life force), and boost vitality.
✨ According to Swami Rama & Sri Vidya, Kapalabhati isn’t just a breathing exercise—it’s a gateway to mental clarity, inner strength, and powerful energy flow.
