Let's Clarify a Few Things...
The questions everyone asks, answered simply.
Okay, real talk, this is one of the most important questions you can ask.
The short answer? It's not recommended.
Here's why: In Tantra, there are three types of seekers:
-
Pashu (instinctive, grounded in tamas)
-
Vira (heroic, driven by rajas)
-
Divya (divine, rooted in sattwa)
Each path requires different practices. And the only person who can truly guide you to the right one? A Guru.
As the Saundarya Lahari says:
"One who practices without a Guru is like a boat without a boatman, wandering aimlessly, never reaching the shore."
This isn't meant to scare you. It's meant to protect you.
The ancient texts repeat this warning over and over, and honestly?
It's worth listening to.
What is Sri Vidya?
Let's break it down:
-
Sri = the force of Shakti (Divine Feminine)
-
Vidya = knowledge
So Sri Vidya is the sacred wisdom of the Mother Divine.
It's not just rituals or mantras, it's a transformative inner journey toward self-realization, where Shiva (consciousness) and Shakti (energy) unite within you.
Masters like Swami Rama dell'Himalaya and Pandit Rajmani call it the highest path of Tantra, where devotion, wisdom, and energy merge to awaken your deepest awareness.
And here's the thing:
true understanding of Sri Vidya only unfolds through a Guru.
They reveal the layers you can't see on your own.
Why is Sri Vidya Considered the Highest Path?
Because it leads straight to the crown: the Sahasrara chakra,
where Shiva and Shakti merge completely.
Most paths work through the lower chakras (stability, emotion, power).
Sri Vidya goes all the way up, to the state of enlightenment,
beyond duality.
In this state, all separation dissolves.
You realize your oneness with the Absolute.
That's why it's called the supreme path.
Because it realises practical life and spiritual life: Bhoga and Moksha
What is Samaya Tantra?
There are three main paths in Shakta Tantra:
-
Kaula Marga: awakening through external practices
-
Mishra Marga: a blend of external and internal
-
Samaya Marga: awakening Shakti entirely within your own body and mind
Samaya means "You are in Me."
In this path, the Sahasrara chakra becomes the space where you experience union with divine consciousness, without needing anything outside yourself.
This is the epitome of what the human body can achieve.
(P.S. "Marga" means "path" in Sanskrit,
it's the spiritual route you follow to awaken.)
What is Tantra?
Let's start with the word itself:
-
Tanoti = Expansion
-
Rayoti = Liberation
So Tantra literally means the liberation of energy and the expansion of consciousness.
It's not what the internet thinks it is... 😉
Tantra is a collection of spiritual disciplines, structured practices for awakening and channeling divine energy.
In Samaya Tantra specifically, mantras (sacred sounds) are key, they activate and refine your inner energy, guiding you toward realization!
What is Tantra Philosophy?
At its core, Tantra sees the universe as a dance between two forces:
-
Shiva (Purusha): pure consciousness, the still, formless masculine
-
Shakti (Prakriti): dynamic creation, the flowing feminine
They're not separate. They're two aspects of the same reality.
Here's an analogy I love: butter and milk. Can butter exist without milk? No. And neither can Shiva exist without Shakti,
and Shakti cannot exist without Shiva.
As Swami Rama dell'Himalaya said:
"Shiva and Shakti are not two separate entities; they are two aspects of the same reality. One is static, the other dynamic; together, they create the universe."
What is Shakti?
According to the Saundarya Lahari, the word Shakti breaks down like this:
-
Sha = Auspicious Prosperity
-
Kti = Power
So Shakti is the divine power that brings auspiciousness and prosperity to all.
She is energy. Life. Creation.
She's responsible for the evolution of everything, from galaxies to you.
Here's where it gets wild: scientists call this force dark energy, the invisible power holding the universe together, shaping galaxies, driving expansion.
They know it exists. They just don't fully understand it yet.
But Tantra does. It calls this force Mahashakti, and says she operates through kala (waves).
Many of these waves have already been discovered by science... and many more are coming.
What Are Chakras?
Chakras are the energy centers in your body, but here's the part most people don't realize:
Each main chakra is directly connected to the endocrine system. Meaning, they correspond to the major glands in your body (like your thyroid, adrenals, and reproductive organs).
So when we talk about "balancing your chakras," we're not just talking about energy, we're talking about real, physical impact on your hormones, your nervous system, and how your body functions every day.
This is where ancient wisdom meets modern science.
Each chakra also connects to a specific element: earth, water, fire, air, ether, and together, these layers influence everything from how grounded you feel to how clearly you think.
✨ This is exactly what I explore in my workshops.
Over 5 sessions, we journey through each chakra, its element, its gland, and the practices that bring it into balance.
It's not just theory. It's embodied experience.

What Are the Nadis?
Nadis are the subtle energy channels that carry prana (life force) through your body.
There are three main ones:
-
🌙 Ida Nadi: cooling, feminine energy (left side of the spine)
-
☀️ Pingala Nadi: warming, masculine energy (right side of the spine)
-
⚡ Sushumna Nadi: the central channel of enlightenment
-
When Ida and Pingala are balanced, energy can rise through the Sushumna, and that's where true awakening happens.
